Remembering, forgetting.

My work explores memory and its flip side, forgetting, as subject and metaphor in art and writing, considering how remembering (keeping, saving, reminding, archiving) or profound intentional forgetting (erasing, abstracting, rewriting, obliterating) affects perception of history. The reciprocal relationship between remembering and forgetting demonstrates the value of intentionally remembering by saving traces and the peril of throwing away the past.
